Scenic Art for Washington Theatres at Historic Ruby Theatre

Wendy Rae Waszut-Barrett, PhD, is an author, artist, and historian, specializing in painted illusions created for nineteenth- and twentieth-century popular entertainment. Spanning three decades, her passion is to preserve and celebrate the theatrical heritage, extant scenery conservation, and training artists in distemper painting techniques for the stage.

Dr. Waszut-Barrett will be in Chelan for the week of her presentation while painting the new Ruby Theatre Curtains.  The painted curtains will be a re-creation of the Ruby 1947 curtains. Join us for this informative presentation and see the re-creation of the old Ruby curtains in process.
