Stehekin offers camping in a range of settings, from lakeside sites to quiet roadside camps to backpacking sites.
Most camps are small, primitive sites, and all camping (with the exception of lakeside sites) requires a free backcountry permit, available from the Golden West Visitor Center (509-699-2080, ext. 14).

Lakeside sites do not require a backcountry permit, but private boaters may need to obtain a Federal Dock permit if using one of the docks.

Echo Valley Resort + Cabins, just a 15-minute drive from downtown Chelan or Manson, is the only cabin resort in the valley to offer cozy, private cabin accommodations surrounded by all the fun activities the backroads have to offer. Washington's North Cascades National Park, home to the Lodge at Stehekin, is one of the most diverse ecosystems in the world. From the temperate rainforest of the wet west side to the dry ponderosa pine of the east, the park encompasses nearly 800 square miles of breathtaking, unspoiled wilderness. Make your escape to nature's paradise at North Cascades Lodge at Stehekin on beautiful Lake Chelan. We offer 27 comfortable non-smoking guest-rooms that vary in size and style; 7 units feature an equipped kitchen perfect for extended stays. For larger groups and families who want to spread out, we offer our Lake House that sleeps up to 12. One ADA accommodation available along with pet-friendly rooms (fees apply). The Lodge, including standard guest rooms, the Stehekin Lodge with a Restaurant, and General Store, Kitchen units are available year-round.

Wapato Lake Campground

This is a family-friendly campground operated by Manson Parks. It features plenty of mature shade trees on peaceful Wapato Lake. There are 22 RV sites with electricity and water, 13 tent sites, and 1 group site. Restrooms with quarter-operated showers are available. Open April through September. RV sites with 50 amps $35 per night RV sites with 30 amps $30 per night Tent sites are $25 per night.
