SUMMARY:Ancient Advance – Art Meets Science at Fielding Hills Winery
DESCRIPTION:From November 8–16\, Fielding Hills Winery is proud to host “Ancient Advance”\, a striking oil-on-linen painting by Washington artist Rowan Carey. Measuring 24 by 48 inches\, the work brings to life the Chelan Valley as it appeared some 17\,000 years ago\, when the continental ice sheet advanced through the valley\, covering the landscape in hundreds of feet of glacial ice. \nCommissioned on behalf of the Lake Chelan Research Institute\, this piece blends art and science\, helping viewers envision a landscape transformed by glacial forces.
