Job Description:
Chelan High School and Chelan Middle School have several openings for seasonal coaches. We are seeking passionate coaches committed to enhancing educational opportunities for students through athletics, while promoting the Chelan Athletic Department core values: Motivated, Open Minded, Respectful and Engaged.
Qualifications to Include:
Ø Prior coaching and/or playing experience in the sport.
Ø Proven ability to coach at the high school level.
Ø Willingness to work with staff.
Ø Valid first aid and CPR card, or willingness to obtain upon hiring.
Ø FBI, Washington State Patrol and Sexual Misconduct background clearance.
Overview of Coaching Staff Expectations:
Ø Responsible for assisting in a program that is organized, well prepared, and operated with integrity. Coaches should use athletics to teach valuable life skills and provide an exceptional educational experience for the student-athletes.
Ø Develop and maintain positive relationships with the student-athletes. Strive to be a quality role model that the student-athletes feel comfortable going to for mentorship, always putting student-athletes’ needs at the forefront and vigorously working to serve their needs.
Ø Commitment to promoting the vision, values, and mission of the school district and athletic department.
