Part-time Executive Director (ED)
Company:
Lake Chelan Bach Fest
Job Description:
The Lake Chelan Bach Fest is a long-standing (45 year) eight day festival in July which has grown to include 19 concerts and 100 musicians in a variety of venues in the Chelan and Manson valleys. We are seeking a collaborative leader responsible for overseeing our daily and long-term operations. The ED helps to ensure operational efficiency and financial sustainability through strong organizational leadership, community engagement, and staff coordination. This role connects the Board’s strategic direction and the Artistic Director’s vision with administrative and operative execution to fulfill the Bach Fest’s mission: “To inspire, enrich and educate audiences, participants and the communities of the region through experiencing a variety of live artistic performances.”
Key responsibilities include overseeing fundraising, grant writing, marketing, developing and managing the budget (in collaboration with the Treasurer, bookkeeper and accounting firm), managing staff (e.g. concert volunteers, logistics team) and resources (e.g. music library, Riverwalk Pavillion sound panels), and serving as the primary operational liason with the board of directors. A more complete job description is available upon request.
The ED reports to the board of directors, works an average of 10 hours/week, and starting compensation is $25-$35/hour, commensurate with experience.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for performance and will live within commutable distance to Chelan or Manson WA. The current executive director and the board will provide close mentorship during the first year of the position. The Lake Chelan Bach Fest is an equal opportunity employer and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and applicants.
