Chelan Family Fun

FIND TSILLY

  • Tsilly (pronounced ‘chill-ee’) is our tricky Lake Chelan “monster” who visits many local businesses throughout the Lake Chelan community
  • Find them all and win a “Tsilly Pin” to be entered to win a grand prize valued at over $300

APPLE BIN RIDES*

  • Enjoy spectacular views of the Chelan River
  • One ride per button

SNOW SLIDE*

  • Hosted on Emerson Street
  • Sleds are provided
  • Race your family and friends down the hand-crafted slide

POLAR BEAR SPLASH, BEACH BONFIRE & FIREWORKS

  • Hosted at Don Morse Park
  • Bring a towel and enjoy a MASSIVE beach bonfire after the annual Winterfest Polar Bear Splash
  • Fireworks show begins around 6:30pm

TEEN CENTER

  • Hosted by Thrive Chelan Valley for middle and high schoolers at the United Methodist Church on Johnson Ave (Look for the giant yellow ducky!)

GAMES & ACTIVITIES

  • United Methodist Church Banquet Room (Look for the giant yellow ducky on Johnson Ave!)
  • Enjoy an afternoon playing games, such as tabletop basketball, miniature golf, bean toss and more!

CRAFTS & FACE PAINTING*

  • Hosted by the Lake Chelan Arts Council at 208 E Woodin Ave
  • Create your own pin
  • Face painting with Let’s Color Art

  • Hosted by the Historic Downtown Chelan Association on Emerson Street next to the slide

  • Get your cup at the Kid Zone
  • Choose a recipe and visit participating business with those toppings
  • One cocoa per button

LIVE CARVING & ICE SCULPTURES

  • Visit the 200 block of Woodin Ave to get a bird’s eye view of the live ice sculpture carving, starting around 10am
  • Grab a hot beverage from a vendor and watch the professionals carve and chisel their way to a beautiful sculpture
  • Take a selfie and tag #lakechelanwinterfest on Instagram

  • Grab a hot cocoa and watch the professionals carve and chisel their way to a beautiful sculpture
  • Take a selfie and tag #lakechelanwinterfest on Instagram

MYSTERY MITTEN WALK

  • Visit the Manson Visitor Center to pick up your Mystery Mitten Walk map, mitten, and bag (located at 17 Hale St. Manson, WA 98831)
  • Follow your treasure map to each business (in order), and receive a treat at each one! Find the matching mitten to complete your pair at the final stop.

FACE PAINTING & CHARACTERS

  • Hosted at the Manson Grange (157 E Wapato Way)
  • Visit and snap a photo with Elsa and Olaf
  • Face painting also available

FLAMES OF INTENTION

  • Saturday, January 25 at 6pm
  • Write hopes and wishes for the upcoming year on paper slips to set ablaze
  • Embrace the warmth of community and the magic of new beginnings

7th Annual VIKI DOWNEY POLAR BEAR PLUNGE & BEACH BONFIRE

  • Sunday, January 21 at 1pm, hosted at Manson Bay Park
  • Bring a towel and plunge for a good cause and warm up by our beach bonfire
  • 100% of donations are used to provide free swim lessons at Manson Bay Park

FIREWORKS

  • Saturday, January 25 at 6:30pm
